The leadership of Arise Bole Youth, a prominent youth group in the Bole District, has held a meeting with the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Alhaji Yusif Sulemana athis residence in Bole, to discuss key developmental concerns and promote peace and unity in the constituency.

The meeting, which took place on October 8, 2025, centered on ways to use dialogue and consultation to address emerging issues affecting the youth and the district at large.

Addressing members after the engagement, the group’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Adams Abdulai, popularly known as Culture, said the meeting with the MP followed an earlier visit to the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bole, Hon. Abdulai Mahmud, at his office.

He explained;
“The visit to the MP was very important for the peace and development of Bole and the entire district. We met him to discuss issues raised and clarify certain misconceptions regarding development and progress in the area.”

Adams Abdulai aka Culture, noted that Arise Bole Youth, which currently has over 1,000 members, operates as a community based organization committed to fostering unity and development among the growing youth population in the district.

He revealed that discussions with the MP covered several key projects, including the construction of the Bole township roads, the upgrade of the Bole District Hospital which currently serves as the Savannah Regional Hospital, the extension of electricity to new areas and surrounding communities, and getting a complex market infrastructure for Bole.

The PRO of the Arise Bole Youth further stated that Hon. Yusif Sulemana assured them of the government’s commitment to addressing these concerns.

He disclosed that; “The MP told us that since the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is in power, it is effectively Bole that is in power, and therefore the community and district will see significant development. He assured us that the concerns of the youth have been heard and will be addressed at the appropriate time”.

According to him, the MP also commended the youth for playing a proactive role in championing the community’s interests, adding that former President John Dramani Mahama’s current term would not mark the end of the NDC’s success.

Adams Abdulai said;
“The MP said the visit is a clarion call for the youth to rally behind development efforts and contribute positively to the district’s growth,”

The PRO of the Arise Bole Youth said the MP disclosed that the DCE had been tasked by the MP to engage the youth further on the progress of the Bole township road project to ensure community cooperation, especially in areas earmarked for construction.

On mining-related matters, Mr. Abdulai said the MP urged patience among youth in the mining communities as efforts are underway to resolve issues surrounding mining concessions allegedly handed out by the previous government.

“He assured that formal communication will soon be made regarding the restoration of these concessions to rightful stakeholders,” he concluded.

Meanwhile the MP for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources has expressed his sincere appreciation to the leadership of the “Arise Bole Youth”, a youth group in Bole for their visit to him last Saturday at his residence.

A statement from the MP signed by Tahiru Iddisah Omega, his Spokesperson said; “I am particularly excited because the meeting served as a platform for my office and the youth to establish a strong working relationship aimed at improving the lives of our people”.

The Bole MP added that; “It also afforded the group the opportunity to express its regrets for some of the excesses against my person and that of His Excellency the President in the cause of its advocacy for development for our dear community and pledged to adopt better ways of achieving its goals without appearing antagonistic”.

The statement from the MP for Bole-Bamboi constituency also said; “On my part, I pledge my commitment to working closely with the group and any such forward looking group to bring the needed development to our people — for I have wholeheartedly left behind past events; paving way for a new dawn of collaboration and progress.
