The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bole-Bamboi Constituency, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana, has come to the aid of Miss Mariam Fatawu, a pupil of Sumpuoyiri R/C Primary School in the Bole District of Savannah Region.
Miss Mariam had been battling a medical condition that had left her family struggling to keep up with her treatment expenses.
The news of Miss Mariam’s illness was a worry to her community, with many calling for support for the young girl.
Fortunately, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana stepped in to provide the much-needed assistance and his timely intervention has brought relief to Mariam’s family and the entire Sumpuoyiri community.
With Alhaji Sulemana’s support, Mariam who is responding to treatment is expected to make a full recovery and return to her studies, fulfilling her dreams and aspirations.
Her family expressed gratitude for the MP’s kindness, saying it has been a huge burden off their shoulders.
The MP’s support for Mariam is not an isolated incident. Alhaji Yusif Sulemana has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the welfare of children and education in the constituency. His efforts have not gone unnoticed, with many praising his selflessness and dedication to public service.
The Bole District Directorate of Education in a ltter expressed it’s profound gratitude to the Bole MP for his generosity.
In a letter dated 6th November, 2025, the District Director of Education, Mr Richard Achinani Sepaga, commended Alhaji Sulemana’s selfless act and stating that it has demonstrated his deep compassion and commitment to the welfare of children and education in the constituency.
Mr. Richard Achinani Sepaga noted that the MP’s gesture had not only brought relief to Mariam’s family, but has also restored hope for her speedy recovery and return to school.
The Bole GES Director stated;
“Acts such as yours remind us that the education and well-being of our learners are truly a shared responsibility between community leaders and educational authorities”.
The Bole District Ghana Education Service expressed their gratitude to Alhaji Yusif Sulemana’s kindness and look forward to his continued collaboration in promoting quality education for all learners in the district.
