The Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Yussif Sulemana has announced the distribution of an additional 2,000 tables and 2,000 chairs to schools across the Bole District as part of renewed efforts to address the long-standing furniture deficit in basic and senior high schools.

The MP made the announcement during the grand finale of the Kutuge Feso Science and Maths Quiz Championship held at the Wuripe and Sons Royal Lodge in Bole on Friday December 5, 2025.

Many schools in the district continue to grapple with acute furniture shortages with some students compelled to sit on stones, blocks and overcrowded desks conditions that pose major challenges to effective teaching and learning.
Hon. Sulemana explained that his recent visits to schools, coupled with appeals from teachers and school authorities revealed the urgent need for immediate intervention to alleviate the plight of both learners and educators.

Prior to this latest support, the MP donated 106 dual desks to Banda-Nkwanta Junior High School and supplied Bole Senior High School with 1,000 metal tables and 1,000 chairs.

He noted that the additional 4,000 metal tables and chairs will be distributed next week to selected schools in the district, adding that more will follow until every affected school receives adequate furniture.

The MP also announced the procurement of new educational infrastructure including 6-unit classroom blocks and 10 teachers’ quarters for several communities.

Some of the beneficiary communities include Bodi, Mankumah, Daboyiri, Bekwei Kura, Mandari, Sakpa, and Wakawaka. He assured residents that all projects will commence very soon.
