
Hon. Yahaya Amantana, a contestant in the 2024 Bole-Bamboi Parliamentary primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has presented assorted drinks and biscuits to select basic schools in the Tinga area of the Bole District in the Savannah Region to commemorate the Christmas festivities.
The donation, made on December 18, 2025, comprised 84 crates of multi-fruit juice, 30 boxes of King Cracker biscuits, two crates of canned malt, and two crates of Peeva bottled water.Beneficiary schools were Sumpuoyiri R/C Kindergarten, Primary A and B, and Tinga D/A Primary School. Out of the total items donated, Sumpuoyiri R/C KG, Primary A and B received 61 crates of multi-fruit juice, 21 boxes of King Cracker biscuits, one crate of canned malt, and one pack of Peeva bottled water for both teachers and pupils while Tinga D/A Primary School received 24 crates of multi-fruit juice, nine boxes of King Cracker biscuits, one crate of canned malt, and one pack of Peeva bottled water.
Speaking on behalf of the donor during the presentation, the Nyameasem Branch Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tinga Electoral Area, Hon. Zakaria Kasim, encouraged the pupils to take their studies seriously and to be punctual in school.

Hon. Kasim explained that Hon. Yahaya Amantana was inspired by his own childhood experiences, recalling how philanthropists used to visit schools during festive periods to share sweets and biscuits with pupils.
He narrated;βHe has kept those memories close to heart, and with the little support he can offer, he decided to share with the pupils as they break for the Christmas holidays, just to put smiles on their faces.”
He further urged the schools to accept the items in good faith and to keep Hon. Amantana in their prayers, assuring them that the donor would personally visit in the future with more educational interventions and engage directly with the pupils.On behalf of the head teachers of Sumpuoyiri R/C KG, Primary A and B, Mr. Adams Abubakari accepted the donation and expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Yahaya Amantana for the kind gesture.
He noted that the items would bring joy and excitement to the pupils, especially as the donation coincided with the Christmas season. Mr. Adams assured that the items would be distributed fairly and transparently to achieve the intended purpose.
He also appealed for continued support and encouraged other philanthropists to emulate the gesture, stressing that such acts motivate pupils to attend school regularly and learn diligently.Similarly, the Head Teacher of Tinga D/A Primary School, Mr. Hassan Nuura, thanked Hon. Yahaya Amantana for extending support to both pupils and teachers of the school.
He described the festive season as a time for happiness and said the donation would bring joy and excitement to the learners, adding that the school felt fortunate to be among the selected beneficiaries in the district.Mr. Nuura concluded that beyond the joy, the donated items would also contribute positively to the nutritional well-being of the pupils.
