The Paramount Chief of the Buipe Traditional Area and Vice President of the National House of Chiefs, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II, has formally enskined and outdoored Silmanwura Bawa Jewu Awushi at his palace in Buipe.

The ceremony, held on Friday, January 16, 2026, was steeped in rich tradition and underscored the deep cultural heritage of the Buipe Traditional Area.
A speech was delivered on behalf of the Buipewura by Neripewura Kipson Abubakari, Secretary to the Buipewura.

In the address, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II congratulated Silmanwura Bawa Jewu Awushi on his enskinment and wished him wisdom, strength, and long life in service to the people of Buipe.

He prayed for unity, peace, and development to prevail across the traditional area and invoked the guidance of the ancestors and the blessings of Almighty God upon the land and its people.

The Buipewura emphasized the sacred importance of tradition, stressing that the enskinment of Silmanwura Bawa Jewu Awushi was conducted strictly in accordance with Buipe’s time-honoured customs and practices.

The event, attended by chiefs, elders, and residents from far and near, showcased the enduring cultural values and unity within the Buipe Traditional Area.
Speaking to Bole-based Nkilgi FM, Dabanpewura Seidu Abdul Fatawu, a sub-chief in the Buipe Traditional Area, praised Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II for his exemplary leadership, describing it as worthy of emulation.

He also commended the chiefs and people of Buipe for their selfless support for one another and their collective commitment to preserving tradition and harmony.

Dabanpewura Seidu Abdul prayed for long life for the Buipewura and the people of Buipe, urging them to remain united and continue supporting the paramount chief in his vision to promote development across the traditional area.

He further expressed gratitude to all who travelled from far and near to support and contribute to the successful enskinment and outdooring of Silmanwura Bawa Jewu Awushi.
