Emylink Enterprise, a leading distributor and agent of Apsonic Motorbikes in the Damongo Municipality of the Savannah Region, has put smiles on the faces of about 50 widows through a charitable donation as part of activities marking the Christmas festivities and the 2026 New Year celebrations.

The widows, selected from various churches across the municipality including some few Muslim widows received bags of rice and quantities of cooking oil under the company’s annual charity outreach programme, which is aimed at supporting vulnerable members of society, particularly widows.

Presenting the items, the Chief Executive Officer of Emylink Enterprise, Mr. Aloh Emeka, a Nigerian businessman based in Damongo, said the initiative was inspired by biblical teachings that call on believers to care for the poor and needy in society.
“The Bible admonishes us in James 1:27 that ‘Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction.’ This is what motivates us to give back,” Mr. Emeka said.

He explained that the beneficiaries were deliberately selected from different churches and not only from the Church of Pentecost, where he worships, to ensure fairness, transparency and inclusiveness.
Mr. Emeka and his wife, Mrs. Aloh Peace, also shared words of hope, encouragement and salvation with the widows, emphasizing that spiritual support is as important as material assistance.

“The Scripture tells us in Proverbs 19:17 that ‘Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done.’ We believe that when we give, we are ultimately serving God,” he added.

According to the couple, the donation was not made out of abundance but out of a sense of responsibility to give back to the community that has supported their business growth over the years.
“As Acts 20:35 reminds us, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ This gesture is about restoring dignity, strengthening community bonds and ensuring that our mothers experience the joy of entering the new year with hope,” Mr. Emeka noted.

The beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude to Emylink Enterprise, saying the support would go a long way to making the festive season meaningful for them and their families.

Pastor Kenneth Kwakye Marfo of the Damongo Pentecost Church commended Mr. Emeka and his wife for their generosity and prayed for God’s blessings upon them.
“The Bible says in Luke 6:38, ‘Give, and it will be given to you.’ May the Lord replenish them abundantly for what they have shared with society,” he prayed.
