
The District Chief Executive for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Mr. Saaka Sinkina has handed over a 3-Unit Classroom block and a 20-Unit market stalls built by the Gulf Of Guinea Northern Regions Social Cohesion Project (SOCO) to the people of Yipala in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of Savannah Region.
The two separate projects, were all commissioned on Friday 27th of February,2026 with the Chief and community members of Yipala all very excited.

Speaking to Bole based Nkilgi fm, the District Chief Executive for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Mr. Saaka Sinkina commended the Chief of Yipala and their Assembly member for the area for their dedication and coordination to seeing the two projects all be coming completed projects after they were abandoned.
He said when he came in to office and met the project with thw sum of money invested in them, he told himself that how can these projects be abandoned whilst the people need the infrastructure to boss education and economic activities.Mr. Saaka Sinkina said he then quickly facilitated in making sure that it doesn’t keep long for the two projects all to be completed in time and today they are here to hand it over to the people of the community.
He said markets everywhere promotes economic activities for the people and beings revenue to the District Assembly for more infrastructure and other projects to be done in the district.He urged the community members to utilize their two projects fully and that the Assembly will be disappointed if in future the Assembly hears the the market and the school projects is not been used, considering the commitment of the Chief and the Assemblyman in seeing the two projects all been fully completed and handed over to them.
Mr. Saaka Sinkina commended the contractor who did the two projects and that though the project was abandoned some time ago, but seeing the quality work done makes it right for him to commend him.He said the material used are all quality materials per the standard of the Assembly’s consideration.
Mr. Kulah Raphael who is the Assemblyman for Yipala electoral area on behalf of the chief and the entire community expressed their gratitude to the District Chief Executive and his entourage.He said the people of Yipala are very grateful to the DCE because since he came in to office, most of the developmental promises he gave to people of Yipala has been fulfilled.

He said the market will improve their economic activities in the area and the school will also benefit their children because it was not easy at first and their children usw to travel to a very far distance to attend Junior High School because they didn’t have one.Mr. Kulah Raphael also appealed to the District Assembly for more developmental projects to come to Yipala for the people to benefit as his a very hardworking man.
