
The Acting Director of Passport, Yahaya Amantana Mahama, along with a technical delegation from the Accra Passport Office, visited Bole to assess potential office space for a new Passport Office.
This initiative aims to improve access to passport services for residents of Bole and its surrounding areas, reducing the travel time and costs currently associated with obtaining passports.The delegation, led by Mr. Yahaya Amantana Mahama included Salamatu Yakubu, Director of Estates; Isaac Baah, Principal Quantity Surveyor and Samuel Adotey, Finance and Accounts Officer responsible for Foreign Affairs.
Mr. Yahaya explained that the decision to establish an office in Bole is partly in response to a request from the regional minister, who has advocated for offices in both Salaga and Bole, given the expansive nature of the Savannah Region.Speaking on behalf of the Bole District Chief Executive, the Presiding Member, Adams Dramani Deen, warmly welcomes the Acting Director of Passport, Yahaya Amantana Mahama, and the technical team to Bole.
He said the decision to establish an office in Bole is a welcome development that will support local administration and provide greater convenience for citizens.He appreciates the government’s efforts to bring services closer to the people and commends the regional minister’s advocacy for this initiative. The PM assured the team of the Assembly’s full support and commitment to working together to ensure the office becomes operational soon. He successfully guided the team in securing the ideal office space for the launch of the passport office.
The youth of Bole couldn’t hide their excitement about the passport office, given the relief it would bring to the community. Arise Bole Youth presented traditional smocks to the team, symbolizing local hospitality and eagerness to partner in establishing the Passport Office.At the Palace of the Paramount Chief of the Bole traditional area, Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso I expressed his appreciation for the efforts to establish a Passport Office in Bole, which will make it easier for residents to access vital services.
He commended the government’s commitment to improving local infrastructure and services. The Paramount Chief pledged the chiefs’ support for this initiative and looks forward to a successful partnership.
