A son of Bole and former NDC parliamentary aspirant, Mr. Yahaya Amantana, has made a donation of a mechanised borehole with a solar panel and 400 pieces of blocks to the Bole Chief Imam at the Bole cemetery, aimed at alleviating stress in obtaining water and blocks for burial purposes in Bole.
Mr. Mohammed Agenda, representing Mr. Yahaya Amantana spoke to Bole based Nkilgi fm about an incident that occurred during Mr. Amantana’s visit to Bole. Mr. Amantana was displeased by the situation he witnessed at the cemetery where people were frantically searching for water and blocks and expressed his intention to provide a mechanised borehole with a solar panel to address the issue.

Mr. Mohammed Agenda added that when Mr. Yahaya Amantana got back to Accra he didn’t hesitate and started organising himself towards the construction.
He said today the borehole has been constructed and they had come to hand it over to the Bole Imam for the people of Bole and called on all who have power or support both from the Christians and Muslims to come and support and make the cemetery nice because that is the last home for everybody.
The PRO for the Bole Chief Imam, Mr. Mohammed Karmodey aka Ustaz on behalf of the Bole Imam thanked Mr. Yahaya Amantana for what he has done for the people of Bole and it’s environs. He said they were going through alot anytime someone passed on and they are to come and bury the person because of water and blocks and very grateful for his Mr. Yahaya Amantana’s gesture.
He stated that much like Oliver Twist, they continue to seek support from anyone, anywhere to help build a fence wall around the cemetery land due to ongoing encroachment. He pointed out that they have prominent individuals from Bole and highlighted that when they aimed to rehabilitate the Central Mosque, many people including President John Dramani Mahama and Dr. Alhaji Mahammud Bawumia offered support to some extent.
He added that, ultimately, Hon. Seidu Ousmani also known as Hon. Chenche invested and completed the project. He appealed to all Muslim brothers and sisters nationwide to help contribute to Bole’s development.
