The Savannah Regional Minister Hon. Salisu Be-Awuribe has handed over the 24 hour Economy Market Site to “Alhaji Moro Man Blessing Company Ltd” who is the contractor for the project.

Speaking to Bole based Nkilgi fm, Mr. Salisu Be-Awuribe said the historic 24 Hour Economy Market is the biggest of the models the government has chosen and Bole has gotten the best amongst the best.

He said the District Chief Executive has done well to clear the site and the Traditional Authorities led by the Bolewura has endorsed it because the land belongs to the Chiefs.He added that, the place was a public used area and people had their structures in there and the Bolewura gave them alternate places to relocate and the site is now handed over to the contractor.

He said from today, the contractor have the power to fence the area to prevent any other person from having access to the area because is a construction zone and by that, he will start doing the work as required and position the structures as the consultant specified.Hon. Salisu Be-Awuribe said the Contractor has been given an 18 month period and the count starts from the commencement date and they expect the Contractor to do quality job and also go on an unprecedented speed without compromise with quality.

He said the 24-hour economy market projects are legacy projects and the Bole 24HR Economy Market project is a strategic project because their neighbour Cote d’ivoire come to Bole Market to access the market on market days.Mr. Salisu Be-Awuribe said the government wants to dualize the Bole road and link it to Cote d’ivoire because Bole is an border community to Cote d’ivoire.He added that Bole is the hub of commence and business with the western corridors of Savannah Region.

The District Chief Executive for Bole District said the Contractor has officially started and the contract days have just started counting now.He appealed to the people to continue cooperating with authorities and commended the people for the cooperation so far.Mr. Abdulai Mahmud said in other places, some people are still struggling to do the project and the people of Bole are fortunate theirs has gotten to that level.

The project manager for the 24-hour economy market Mr. Mohammed Abdulai said the have been given 18 months to complete thw project. He said they are now on site and whatever is needed for the project to kick start is available and as is a legacy project, they pray that payment should be frequent for them to keep on.Mr. Mohammed Abdulai assured that quality work will be done because they have alot of examples of quality works to show.He commended president John Dramani Mahama for his good works.
