A young woman from Bole Mempeasem, Rafika Tahiru, has appealed to the general public to desist from tagging her to an alleged leaked sex video currently circulating on social media.

According to her, some individuals have wrongly identified her as the person in the video simply because the female involved shares a facial resemblance with her.

Speaking in an interview with Bole-based Nkilgi FM, Rafika narrated that the rumours began shortly after the video surfaced online. She said many people, without verification, started tagging and accusing her, but she initially chose to remain silent because she was confident the truth would eventually be revealed.

She stressed that she is not the person in the leaked video, pointing out that although the face of the victim may look similar to hers, their body structures are clearly different. Despite the mounting pressure, Rafika said she refused to issue a hasty public denial, explaining that she preferred to stay calm and trust that God would vindicate her.

Rafika further disclosed that investigations by some concerned individuals have traced the origin of the video to Kumasi, and several people who previously accused her have since reached out to apologize after realizing their error.
Issuing a strong warning, she cautioned that anyone who continues to falsely tag her to the video will face spiritual actions and potential legal consequences, as she will not tolerate further reputational damage.

She also used the opportunity to advise residents of Bole and the general public to exercise restraint when such videos emerge online. She emphasized that false accusations can destroy lives, cause emotional distress, and tarnish the image of innocent people.

Meanwhile, popular Damongo-based TikToker “Na We Dey Here” has also commented on the controversy surrounding the circulating video. He clarified that the male involved in the act is not from Damongo, urging people to stop describing him as such. He further advised young people, especially in the Savannah Region, to be mindful of their actions, warning that irresponsible behaviour today can have serious long-term consequences.
