The Chief Executive Officer of the Weekends Group of Companies, Hon. Osumani Seidu, popularly known as “Chenche”, has led Team Weekends to support five National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituencies in the Savannah Region with food items and cash as part of the group’s annual end-of-year initiative.
The donation, which included five bags of rice and a total cash amount of GH¢10,000, was presented to the beneficiary constituencies to support party members and grassroots supporters during the festive season.
Speaking to Bole-based Nkilgi FM, Hon. Osumani Seidu said the gesture reflects Team Weekends’ unwavering commitment to the NDC and its grassroots base, particularly in the Savannah Region.
He disclosed that plans are underway to extend similar support to the remaining two constituencies in the region, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to all seven constituencies.
According to him, sustained engagement and support for party structures at the grassroots level are critical to building a strong, united, and vibrant party. He noted that the initiative is aimed at boosting morale among party faithful and reinforcing solidarity within the NDC, especially at the constituency level.
Hon. Seidu emphasized that Team Weekends has consistently demonstrated loyalty and support to the party over the years, stressing that this donation is not a one-off gesture but part of a long-standing tradition that has always been warmly received by beneficiaries.
He expressed confidence that the intervention would further strengthen unity and commitment among party members across the region.
Team Weekends also extended warm festive greetings and best wishes to party faithful and the general public, wishing everyone a Happy New Year.
