The Acting Director of Passports at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Yahaya Amantana Mahama has donated food items and an undisclosed amount of money to Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs) in the Bole District.The donation was made on Saturday, March 14, 2026, during his visit to the district.

Speaking to Bole-based Nkilgi FM, Mr. Amantana Mahama explained that his visit to Bole was part of an assignment from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa to assess arrangements for the establishment of a Passport Office in the district.

According to him, he used the opportunity to visit some institutions and groups in the community, including Persons Living with Disabilities.Mr. Amantana Mahama stressed that disability should not be seen as inability, noting that many physically challenged and visually impaired people across the world are making significant contributions to society, including the manufacturing of cars and aircraft.

He revealed that he initially planned to break the Ramadan fast (Iftar) with the group but was informed that many members would be travelling from Bamboi and other surrounding communities. He therefore met them earlier so they could return to their homes on time.He expressed happiness at meeting the group and called on philanthropists and well-meaning individuals to support Persons Living with Disabilities in the Bole District.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Vice Chairman of the Physically Challenged Association in the district, Mr. Abdulai Abubakar, expressed gratitude to Mr. Amantana Mahama for the support and encouragement.

He said the gesture shows that the Acting Passport Director has the welfare of Persons Living with Disabilities at heart and thanked him for remembering them during these difficult times.
