The Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency, Alhaji Alhassan Kassim Kamagtey, has commenced the distribution of some 1,350 bags of NPK fertilizer to branch executives across the constituency to support farming activities during the 2026 farming season.
The distribution exercise began on June 22, 2026, following efforts by the Bole-Bamboi Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Alhaji Yusif Sulemana, who engaged the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to secure support for farmers within the party.

Speaking during the exercise, Alhaji Kamagtey explained that although plans are underway to establish a Farmer Service Center in the district, the party could not wait for the facility to become fully operational before extending support to farmers.
According to him, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture provided 1,350 bags of NPK fertilizer as the first tranche of support. However, considering the large number of beneficiaries and the fact that each branch has nine executives, it was impossible for every executive to receive two bags at this stage. He stated that each branch executive would therefore receive one bag of fertilizer from the current consignment, with the possibility of receiving additional support should a second tranche be released.

The chairman further clarified that the current allocation is exclusively for branch executives due to its limited quantity. He added that if a second tranche is received and designated for the wider public, it would be distributed accordingly to benefit more farmers within the constituency.
Alhaji Kamagtey encouraged any branch executive who may have concerns or require clarification regarding the distribution process to contact him directly for further information. One of the beneficiaries, Mahama Iddi, popularly known as Ringo, a branch executive from Mankumah, expressed appreciation to the constituency chairman and the Member of Parliament for what he described as their commitment to supporting farmers within the party.

He commended the leadership for their efforts and urged them to continue engaging various government institutions and sectors to secure more opportunities and support for NDC members.According to him, party members are engaged in diverse occupations, including farming and other economic activities, and sustained support from the party’s leadership would ensure that many more members benefit from government interventions and development initiatives.
