The long-awaited construction of roads in Bole Township in the Savannah Region is set to commence following the arrival of officials and construction equipment of Timeline & Innovations Limited, the company engaged to undertake a major portion of the project.

The construction firm has mobilised several construction machines to Bole as it prepares to begin work on approximately 30.4 kilometres of roads within the township.

Officials of Timeline & Innovations Limited were received in Bole by the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Dr Alhaji Yusif Sulemana, together with the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bole, Mr Abdulai Mahmud on 5th October, 2026.

As part of the formal commencement of the project, the MP and the DCE as well as other stakeholders accompanied officials of the construction company to the Palace of the Paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional Area, Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso (I).

The visit provided an opportunity for the contractors to formally introduce themselves to the traditional authorities and brief them on their readiness to commence construction.

The engagement also served as an important step in strengthening cooperation between the contractors, the district authorities and traditional leadership as work begins on the project.

Speaking during the engagement, the Bole DCE, Mr Abdulai Mahmud, expressed profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and Dr Alhaji Yusif Sulemana for their efforts in securing contractors to undertake the long-awaited Bole Township Roads project.

He said the commencement of the project would be significant for the development of Bole, particularly by improving road connectivity and creating a more conducive environment for economic and social activities.

The project is expected to improve access to various communities and parts of the township while easing transportation challenges for residents, motorists, traders and other road users.

The improved road network is also expected to facilitate the movement of goods and services, enhance access to businesses and public institutions, and contribute to the overall growth of Bole Township.

The courtesy visit to the Paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional Area therefore marks an important milestone in the implementation of the Bole Township road project, following years of expectations among residents for improved roads.

Residents of Bole have long raised concerns about the condition of some roads within the township, particularly their impact on transportation, drainage, accessibility and the general appearance of the community.

With the contractor now mobilised and construction equipment already on site, attention is expected to shift towards the commencement and timely execution of the works.

In a related development, Maripoma Company Ltd has also been engaged to undertake approximately nine kilometres of roads covering parts of Bole Township and its inner roads.

The involvement of the two contractors is expected to significantly expand the scope of road improvement works within the township and complement the broader 30.4-kilometre project.

When completed, the road projects are expected to improve connectivity across Bole, reduce travel difficulties, support commercial activities and enhance the movement of people and goods.

The projects are also expected to contribute to the transformation of Bole into a better-connected urban centre and provide a boost to socio-economic activities in the Bole Township and surrounding communities.

The commencement of the works has consequently been welcomed as an important development for residents and businesses in Bole, who are looking forward to the completion of the roads and the benefits they are expected to bring to the township.
