
Applications have opened for the Bui Power Authority and Bolewura Science and Mathematics Scholarship for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The announcement was signed by Abdulai Haruna Obey, Secretary to the Bolewura, on September 7, 2026.
The scholarship, initiated to support brilliant but needy students from the Bole Traditional Area, is targeted at students pursuing science-related programmes at the university level.
According to the Office of the Paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional Area, eligible applicants must have obtained an aggregate of 22 or better in their WASSCE or Senior High School results.
Applicants must also have gained admission to a public university in Ghana and be pursuing a science-related programme. Eligible fields include Engineering, Medicine, Agriculture, Computer Science, Pure Sciences and other related disciplines.
To qualify, applicants must be from or affiliated with the Bole Traditional Area.
Applicants are required to submit a formal application letter addressed to the Bolewura, an official university admission letter, their SSS/WASSCE result slip and JSS/BECE result slip.
The authorities have cautioned applicants that incomplete applications will not be processed and all required documents must be submitted together.
Applications are to be submitted to the Secretary to the Bolewura, Mr. Abdulai Haruna Obey, at the Office of the Paramount Chief, Bolewura Palace, Bole, in the Savannah Region.
The deadline for submission is October 30, 2026, with no late applications to be accepted.
The scholarship will cover the 2026–2027 academic year, while any renewal will depend on the beneficiary’s academic performance.
The Palace of the Paramount Chief has reiterated that only applicants who meet the stated eligibility criteria, including the aggregate requirement, public university admission and science-related programme requirement will be considered for the scholarship.
