
Mr Mahama Yakubu, popularly known as Chairman Noto, has been elected as the new New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency of the Savannah Region following the party’s constituency executive elections held on Saturday 11th July, 2026.
Chairman Noto who is a businessman and a son of the founding Chairman of the NPP in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency emerged victorious after polling 489 votes, defeating the incumbent Chairman, Alhaji Abu Bilfo (Chairman Tico), who polled 481 votes in a highly contested elections.
The Bole-Bamboi Constituency has 121 polling stations with a total of 1,013 delegates eligible to vote in the constituency executive elections.
The elections, which attracted delegates from across the constituency, were conducted peacefully as party members elected a new team of executives to steer the affairs of the NPP in the constituency over the next four years.
In the race for the 1st Vice Chairman position, Mahama Abdulai emerged victorious with 524 votes, defeating Abu Yahuza, who obtained 441 votes.
For the position of 2nd Vice Chairman, Peter D.K. Piouvoure won convincingly with 550 votes, while Matthew Kwabena Ziboh secured 422 votes.
The contest for Constituency Secretary saw Mahama Issah Ozbone elected with 501 votes, defeating Seidu Amantana, who polled 473 votes.
In the Assistant Secretary race, Samuel Manu was elected after obtaining 504 votes, while Hon. Dinorna Saaka secured 468 votes.
The Constituency Organizer position was won by Lansah Mohammed Kamila, who polled 388 votes in a three-way contest. Kobeeja Ernest Agyapong received 309 votes, while Dramani Jamani secured 274 votes.
The election for Youth Organizer was also keenly contested. Mohammed Abudu Atitor emerged winner with 347 votes, narrowly defeating Hon. Fuseini Gariba, who polled 337 votes, while Sulemana Kadir obtained 288 votes.
For the Nasara Coordinator position, Sulemana Razak Juwara won with 495 votes, defeating Mohammed Alpha Bature, who secured 474 votes.
In the Women’s Organizer election, Seidu Aramata emerged victorious with 503 votes, while Madam Abiba Amadu polled 463 votes.
The position of Treasurer was won convincingly by Mahama Seidu Airport, who secured 592 votes, defeating Abu Hassan, who received 375 votes.
Meanwhile, Soale Bakari was elected Communications Director after polling 503 votes, while Sumani Thompson Abu obtained 461 votes.
The outcome of the elections in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency marks a new chapter for the party as it prepares to reorganise and strengthen its structures in the constituency.
Supporters of the winners celebrated the victory, expressing optimism that their leadership will help unite the party and reposition it for future political contests.
Chairman Noto has specifically been congratulated by party faithful, friends and family, who have wished him success as he assumes the responsibility of leading the NPP in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency.
In his acceptance remarks after being declared the winner, Chairman Noto thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him.
He pledged to lead an all-inclusive administration, extend a hand of friendship to his opponents and their supporters, and work tirelessly to unite the party for the common goal of returning the NPP to electoral success in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency.
He also appealed to all members to put the elections behind them and work together in the interest of the party, stressing that there should be no winners or losers but one united NPP family committed to achieving victory in future elections.
The Bole-Bamboi Constituency remains one of the key constituencies in the Savannah Region, and the new leadership is expected to begin the task of reorganising the party and reconnecting with supporters across the constituency.h
