Bole-based Nkilgi FM is monitoring developments surrounding the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) Savannah Regional Executive Elections, including declarations and campaign flyers from party stalwarts expressing interest in contesting various positions.
Several NDC members have publicly indicated their intention to contest different regional executive positions, with campaign materials already circulating on social media and across various platforms.
However, it remains unclear whether all individuals whose flyers and declarations have emerged will eventually proceed with their bids.
According to the NDC’s official 2026 internal elections timetable, nominations for the Regional Executive Elections opened on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. and will close on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
Aspirants are expected to complete their nomination forms within the stipulated period, while the filing of nominations is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, and Thursday, October 15, 2026.
The party requires aspirants to complete both the online submission and the submission of hard-copy nomination forms within the prescribed period.
It is therefore the filing process that is expected to provide a clearer picture of who is actually in the race, who has completed the process, and who may have decided to step aside.
In the Savannah Region, the contest is expected to attract considerable attention within the party as aspirants position themselves for the various regional executive positions.
Nkilgi FM will continue to monitor the process and provide updates as aspirants pick their forms, complete the nomination process and eventually file their nominations.
The full picture of who has picked forms, who has filed, and who has dropped out is expected to become clearer after the filing deadline on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
Below are flyers and declarations from individuals who have publicly expressed interest in the various positions, arranged in no particular order:
