The Savannah Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Imoro Seidu, popularly known as “Man Blessing,” has assured party members in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency that the party will not discriminate against any ethnic group in the impending constituency executive elections.
According to him, every eligible party member has the right to contest the elections irrespective of their ethnic background, stressing that no individual should be prevented from seeking a leadership position because of his or her ethnicity.
Alhaji Imoro made these comments when he spoke to the media at his residence in Sawla in the Savannah Region on 18th September, 2026 when he officially declared his intention to seek re-election as Regional Chairman of the party.
He reiterated that every eligible member of the party in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency has the right to pick a nomination form and contest the upcoming constituency executive elections.
Alhaji Imoro Seidu said the NDC is one family and should not allow ethnic considerations to determine who can or cannot contest party elections.
He said there was no conflict among the various ethnic groups within the constituency, including the Brifor, Vagla and Gonja communities, and therefore no individual or group should prevent another member from exercising his or her democratic rights within the party.
He added;
“I am the leader of the NDC in the Savannah Region, and when I met the constituency executives of the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency, I made it clear to them that each and everyone in the NDC in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency has the right to pick a nomination form and contest the constituency executive election because we are one people”.
The Savannah Regional Chairman of the NDC), Alhaji Imoro Seidu, popularly known as “Man Blessing” continued that; “We don’t have a conflict between a Brifor, a Vagla or a Gonja, and so no one can say a Brifor has no right to pick a form to contest.”
The Regional Chairman stressed that the party’s internal elections should be conducted in an atmosphere of peace, fairness and respect for all eligible members.
He urged party executives and supporters to avoid actions or statements that could create unnecessary tension or divisions along ethnic lines.
According to him, the strength of the NDC in the constituency depends on the ability of its members to work together as one family despite their different ethnic backgrounds.
Alhaji Imoro Seidu expressed confidence that the party’s internal elections would be conducted peacefully across the Savannah Region.
He said;
“Insha Allah, the NDC elections would be conducted in the Savannah Region and there won’t be any problem”.
The Savannah Regional Chairman of NDC made the remarks as the party prepares for the constituency executive elections in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency of the Savannah Region.
